Congratulations to the 2022/23 Netball Athlete’s of the Year, GRACE TRACEY AND SALLY WERFEL!

Sally has been a standout player this year for IAS.

She gained selection in the NSW All Schools Team, placing 3rd at the Australian All Schools Championships. Sally was named players player for the Koori Netball Tournament and has also gained selection in the Netball NSW Regional Emerging Talent Team.

Sally’s dedication to her sport is evident in her commitment to gym sessions as well as training sessions.

“Sally has an amazing “can do” attitude to the entire netball program. She is a dedicated athlete who is always wanting to learn how to continue to improve.” (Ashlee Schofield)

With 2022-23 being Sally’s first year in the IAS, she has risen to the top as an amazing team player, going from strength to strength as well as being a leader amongst her teammates.

Grace Tracey has had an outstanding 12 months.

Grace was named in the Australian All Schools Netball Team for 2023 and was selected as Vice-Captain for the NSW All Schools Team. Grace has also gained selection in the NSW State Titles ID Program.

Grace continues to positively contribute to the Academy and leads by example. Off the court she is a volunteer coach and is always willing to help younger athletes. Grace is a great role model for younger netballers in the community.

Both athletes have had an outstanding year, gaining selection into both NSW and National teams. We look forward to seeing you both grow in your Netball career.
