CLUB/ASSOCIATION: Corrimal Netball Club Why did you apply for an IAS scholarship? I applied for an IAS scholarship because I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn more, develop my skills and challenge myself against girls in the older age group. Who’s your favourite professional athlete and why? My favourite professional athlete is Sally Pearson because she is a very positive person. I did an assignment on her at school and admire her commitment to her sport. If you weren’t playing this sport what would you be doing and why? I’d be dancing because I’ve been dancing since I was three years old. I enjoy performing and I still attend two classes of ballet each week and also dance at school. How would you describe yourself in one sentence? I’m a dedicated and enthusiastic person, I try my best in everything I do. What are your plans beyond school? I am hoping to go further in netball. I would also like to go to Uni and become a physio. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Tough question … but it would have to be somewhere in Australia. What do you do in your free time? Go to the beach with my friends. What is your favourite subject at school? My favourite subject is PE because I enjoy being active. What is your greatest achievement in your sport so far? So far my greatest achievement has been receiving this scholarship into the IAS. Before this my greatest achievements were representing South Coast in PSSA and being an Illawarra Netball rep in 2013 and 2014. When did you start playing your sport and how did you get started? I started playing netball when I was 11. My mum got me into the sport because she used to play it and she thought I’d be good at it.
