The IAS Subway Triathlon Squad competed in last weekend Tri The Gong with some outstanding results. Hosted in the stunning Wollongong Harbour precinct and the Blue Mile, The Tri The Gong Festival offered all competitors the chance to have a go or to go along and enjoy the colour and spectacle of the sport of Trisathlon. The festival offered races for all ages and abilities. You could enter as an individual or get some friends together and be part of a team and taste the excitement, exhilaration and sense of accomplishment that comes with participating in the trithegong triathlon festival. This year the racing was extremely competitive and a spectacle to watch. Lucy Cliff was the fasted female in the Sprint Distance and her age group (14-15) with an amazing 1:12:09 which included the 6th fasted time in the swim leg out of all competitors. Phoebe Callow made it a one two finish for the IAS, finishing 2nd behind Lucy in their age group (14-15) and the 4th Female overall in and another amazing time of 1:14:52, which included the 18th fasted run leg out of all competitors. IAS graduate Gus Frank was the 2nd fast Male and 2nd in his age group (16-17) with a very impressive 1:03:48, which included the fastest run leg of all competitors. Aaron Rodwell was 4th in his age group (16-17) with in a blistering time of 1:11:20, which included the 12th fastest run leg of all competitors. Georgia Robson competed in the enticer race on the Saturday and finished 6th in her age group (14-15) in a time of 0:35:02.
