Over the past three years, the Illawarra Academy of Sport has been proud to provide opportunity, exposure, development and competition for the emerging talent in Women’s AFL in the region.
Unfortunately, the Illawarra Academy of Sport is not currently in a position to call for nominations for a specific AFL program.
We are in discussions with AFL South Coast to determine whether an IAS program for the 2021/22 scholarship can be provided and supported by the local AFL community. If an AFL program were to proceed it would likely cater for U/14 Girls, U/14 Boys, U/16 Girls and U/16 Boys. Watch this space for any future opportunity.
All athletes in the IAS catchment that do not have a sport specific program available to them are eligible to apply for a Scholarship through the BluescopeWIN Lonestar program for 2021/22.
