More than 150 of Australia’s most promising young road cyclists tackled one of Australia’s toughest climbs at the 2015 Cycling Australia Junior Mountain Climb Championships at Mt Buffalo. Riders in the under 15, 17 and 19 categories contested the time trial on Saturday before battling Sunday’s road race which finished at Dingo Dell on the spectacular summit of Mount Buffalo. The IAS’s Mitchell Wright was in exceptional form finishing 3rd in Saturdays Time Trial in 14:11.02, 0:11.2 seconds behind the leader. Mitchell then backed this up on the Sunday with another 3rd, crossing the line 0:19 seconds behind the leader. Two 3rds were enough to secure Mitch 2nd overall in the General Classification and capped off a very successful weekend in Bright, Victoria.
