IAS LoneStar athlete Kieran Woolley spends more time off the ground than he does on it producing trick after trick in in the air above skate parks around the country.
The thirteen-year-old skateboarder from the Illawarra has in recent weeks claimed a 5th place at the King of Concrete event in Melbourne while claiming ‘best trick’ and a 9th place at the Globe HQ.
Speaking to WIN TV sports reporter Jared Constable, Woolley said of his tricks in the air “it’s just fun, it’s the best feeling doing a massive air on a ramp”.
Woolley has qualified for the Australian Skateboard League National Final’s in Melbourne for U16’s and Opens after claiming Gold in the u16’s at the State Finals.
The highly talented skateboarder was one of only eleven kids to qualify for the prestigious Bowl-a-Rama event which was recently held in Bondi. The multi-day event saw some of the best skateboarders from around the world compete with Woolley claiming a very respectable 8th position.
“I came out with an 8th in a really strong international field and was extremely stoked about my result. It was an amazing experience and was definitely one to remember” said Woolley
