FIVE Illawarra Academy of Sport Golfers have been recognised for their performances in the NSW All Schools Golf Championships at Tamworth Golf Club with selection in the NSW All Schools Golf Teams. Thomas Heaton of Woonona High has been selected in the All Schools Boys team, while Danielle Vasquez of St. Josephs Albion Park, Kelsey Bennett of St. Johns Nowra, and Cassidy Graham of Warilla High have been selected in the All Schools Girls squad. The teams will travel to Adelaide to contest the National Championship from August 14-20. Kiama High School’s Sarah Johnson was selected alongside Cassidy Graham in the CHS Girls’ honour team. Heaton, who is in the Golf NSW junior development squad finished tied ninth in the boys individual title with a three-round score of 224. Vasquez performed well in the 54-hole tournament finishing in a tie for fourth with a score of 237, while Bennett finished sixth on 240.
