The Illawarra Academy of Sports is well represented at the Emirates Australian Open held at The Australian Golf Club in Sydney this week. IAS Graduates playing in the field include Round one leader Lincoln Tighe, and New Zealand Open Winner Jordan Zunic. After narrowly missing out on qualifying himself for the tournament by 3 strokes, IAS Graduate Travis Smyth is caddying for his good friend and fellow Australian Matthew Lisk. Current IAS Scholarship Athletes also featured in the prestigious event with Jamie Raey caddying for Corey Webster from Canada, Che Sandiford caddying for Hamza Amin from Pakistan and Jett Preston carrying the bag for Amature Zhou-huan Yuan from China.
