IAS AWD Squad member Jarrod Dyer is continuing his sensation season with 2 final appearances at the Australian Short Course Championships in Adelaide earlier this month. At his first National Short Course Championship at 14 years of age, Jarrod qualified for 5 events which is a sensational achievement in its self, with this national meet being one of the most important on the swimming calendar with past IAS athletes and Australian Representatives David and Emma McKeon and Jarrod Poort also competing. Jarrod competed in the 400m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, 100m Freestyle, 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke. Finishing 11th in the 400 Freestyle, 12th in the 50m Freestyle and 16th in the 100m Freestyle, Jarrod qualified for the final in 100m Backstroke and 50m Backstroke. Jarrod finished 9th in both finals which capped off a sensational first National Short Course Championships. Adding these achievements to his 3 NSW state Records and 1 Australian Record in the s14 Multi Class 2014 has proven to be a sensation year for Jarrod.
