IAS Individual Athlete Program member Courtney Buchanan represented Australia at the 1st ever Southeast Asia Pacific Fencing Championships and the ASEAN Fencing Championships, which was held in Manila on April 20th to 29th. 15 countries were participating in the event that showcased the best fencers from the Asia Pacific Region. The competition saw athletes compete in the Foil, Epee and Sabre disciplines. Buchanan was part of the Australian women’s U17 foil team that won bronze in the team’s event.
