The start of the new decade has been an exciting time for 15-year-old BluescopeWIN Lonestar, Xavier Brightman.
Brightman represented Southern NSW at the Australian Futsal Association’s National U15 Tournament held in Penrith from 11-14 January 2020.
The Southern NSW Team progressed through to the quarterfinals before falling in the final 5-3 to Central Coast.
Following Brightman’s strong and consistent performances he was named in the Australian All-Star Team for the tournament, as one of the five best performing players for the Under 15 age group. Topping off this outstanding week Brightman was offered a place on the Australian Futsal Team to tour Greece in October 2020.
Continuing in his tremendous form, Brightman backed up and represented Southern NSW in the U16 National Championships from 16-18 January 2020. Again, being a pivotal team member for Southern NSW and relishing in the opportunity.
“I am seeing the benefits of the (IAS) Strength and Conditioning training both on the court and in faster recovery times,” Brightman said.
Following his phenomenal achievements, the BluescopeWIN Lonestar will now turn his attention to preparing for the upcoming outdoor football season.
