Individual Athlete Lauren O’Neill took both her horses last weekend to the NSW Equestrian Interschool Championships at Horsley Park. Lauren had 3 classes on each of her horses, Sam jumped in the 1.10mtr classes consistently but without placing in a tough competition. Hayden was the star. Friday’s conditions were atrocious to say the least and not such a good day. With a huge improvement in the weather and conditions on Saturday, Hayden and Lauren placed 4th in the 1mtr AM5 class, and 5th in the A2 class on Sunday out of 60 riders. Lauren now heads to the Interschool Clinic, as she is in contention for the NSW Show Jumping Team for the National Championships for the second year running.
