Sixty four boys and forty seven girls took part in the event held at Blackheath Golf Club on Tuesday and Wentworth Falls Golf Club on Wednesday. A further 64 players competed in the 2015 NSW All Schools Junior Strokeplay Championships, also known as the Jack Newton Shield. It too was held at Blackheath Golf Club and Wentworth Falls with play alternating between the courses, with the juniors playing Wentworth Falls on the Tuesday and Blackheath on the Wednesday. The IAS had a strong representation with three athletes competing in the Opens and three athletes competing in the juniors. Stefanie Hall continued her recent good run of form to take a commanding lead after day 1 in the opens division. Hall had four birdies in her opening round of one under par 69 to lead fellow IAS athlete Danni Vasquez by four shots. Vasquez also had four birdies, but threw in two double bogies to finish at three over par after the first days play.
