IAS Equestrian athlete, Jamie Priestley won bronze at the Sydney Show Jumping Championships held over the weekend at the Clarendon grounds, Hawkesbury. The blustery conditions added an extra degree of difficulty to the track with several jumps swaying precariously in the wind for the 300 competitors from all over Australia. Riding KS Optimus, fourteen year old Priestley, from Cambewarra held her nerve to take out the bronze in the u19’s junior championship class. Priestley, a member of the BlueScope Steel Individual Athlete Program will compete in the Summer Classic World Cup show at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre this coming weekend. The Summer Classic is run over four days from Thursday 6th to Sunday the 9th of December 2012, showcasing the best 250 riders and 450 horses in Australian with competitions for riders at a senior, young rider, junior and amateur level.
