Golf NSW announced the players to represent NSW at the 2015 Interstate Series, the premier Team Golf Championships in Australia. Five teams were selected, the Men’s State Team, Women’s State Team, Boy’s State Team, Girls State Team and a Girls and Boys Development Team. The IAS Golfer Stefanie Hall has been selected in the 2015 Girls Team and Fellow IAS Squad Member Danielle Vasquez has been selected in the 2015 Development Squad. The Australian Girls’ Interstate Teams Matches will be held from 13-15 April at Fleurieu Golf Club, South Australia. The Australian Junior Championship will be played at Kooyonga GC for the boys and Tea Tree Gully for the girls from 8-10 April. Both the junior team members and the members of the Development Squads will enter this 72 hole stroke play event. A further eight players (four boys and four girls) have also been selected for the development squad to work alongside the elite squad members. They have been chosen for their potential and because they have been identified as those who will gain most from this experience. Coach Kinney stated, “The development players have been selected to give them opportunities to train amongst the best juniors in the country. These players have shown great attitude, work ethic and ability to really excel in golf and we trust this will assist their journey.” IAS Graduate Travis Smyth has been selected in the Men’s State Team to play in The Australian Men’s Interstate Teams Matches to be held from 27 April to 1 May at Huntingdale Golf Club, Victoria. Last year the NSW Men’s Team was narrowly defeated by Victoria in the finals to place second.
