The Illawarra Academy of Sport’s BlueScopeWin Individual Athlete Hannah Crinnion has been selected in the NSW team for the prestigious Trans Tasman Challenge at Campbelltown in January. About 300 talented under-11 and under-12 boys and girls from across the state took part in trials for just 30 spots in NSW boys and girls teams in each age division. The competition rotates between Auckland and Sydney each year with NSW the defending champions heading into the January 18 carnival at Campbelltown Sports Stadium. Hannah made the NSW under-12s team and will bring elite running, throwing and jumping skills to the NSW squad. Competing in long jump at the trials, Hannah Crinnion leapt 4.77 metres for a massive personal best. Hannah showed her versatility by being selected in the 100m and 200m plus long jump.
