The Illawarra Academy of Sport (IAS) is proud to announce Collegians Wollongong as a new partner for the 2025 Athlete Awards.
As part of this exciting partnership, Collegians will present the Margaret Corbett OAM Memorial Award for the 2025 Netball Athlete of the Year and the 2025 Netball Umpire of the Year award.
Both awards include a $250 prize to support the winner’s ongoing athletic development.
“Both the Illawarra Academy of Sport and Collegians Wollongong share the core value of community,” IAS CEO Salv Carmusciano said.
“The IAS is honoured to partner with a local organisation such as Collegians Wollongong that truly values and supports its community.”
The nominated athletes for the Margaret Corbett OAM Memorial Award for the 2025 Netball Athlete of the Year are:

- Izzy Christian
- Emily King
The nominated athletes for the 2025 Netball Umpire of the Year award are:
- Sienna Kaschubs
- Charlotte Gray
- Lily Martin
The 2025 Athlete Awards Ceremony will take place on Monday, 1 September at the Fraternity Club. It will also mark the 40th anniversary of the Academy – a milestone celebration of sporting excellence in the Illawarra.
