
The Illawarra Academy of Sport (IAS) is proud to announce Wallawa Traffic Group as a new partner for the 2025 Athlete Awards.
As part of this exciting partnership, Wallawa Traffic Group will present the 2025 IAS Basketball Athlete of the Year Award at the upcoming ceremony. The award includes a $250 prize to support the winner’s ongoing athletic development.
“Both the IAS and Wallawa Traffic Group share the core value of community,” IAS CEO Salv Carmusciano said.
“We’re proud to partner with a local business that truly values and supports its community.”
Wallawa Traffic Group founder and owner Bec Woods said her company is proud to support young, talented athletes from the Illawarra.
“We are proud to partner with the Illawarra Academy of Sport and support the next generation of talented athletes from the Illawarra region,” Woods said.
“You won’t always find us behind a desk or on traffic control stops – we’re often out and about across our region and supporting the community, showing up where it counts.

Nominations for the 2025 IAS Basketball Athlete of the Year will be announced soon.
The 2025 Athlete Awards Ceremony will take place on Monday, 1 September at the Fraternity Club. It will also mark the 40th anniversary of the Academy – a milestone celebration of sporting excellence in the Illawarra.
